Pair of Delft blue and white tin glazed earthenware lions depicted with open mouths, seated on hind legs, and holding heraldic shields, each on square bases. Signed to underside "P V B 2", mark attributed to Paulus van der Bergh, also known as Paulus Verburg, working Holland, second half of the 18th century. 9 1/2" H x 10" W x 3 7/8" D.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with minor wear and losses to glaze, largest measuring 1/2" x 1/4". Loss to corner of one base.
