English Georgian mahogany desk, writing table or side table with rectangular top having a slightly bowed front over two horizontal dovetailed drawers resting on four tapering straight legs, each drawer with Chippendale style pierced brass hardware, mahogany and pine secondary wood. 30 1/2" H x 36 3/4" W x 20 1/4" D. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Ann H. Wells, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall fair to good condition. Wear and condition commensurate with age and use including surface scratches, staining, Indented scratch to wood surface, cracks, prior covered and finished mounting nail holes along the edge of the top, off-set top, uneven tone to finish throughout, and separation at joints.
