Georgian lowboy or dressing table, mahogany and mahogany veneer over oak and pine secondary woods. Rectangular top with molded edge, over a long horizontal drawer with lock and reticulated Chippendale style brass pull, four circular tapering legs with serpentine return carvings. Dimensions: 27 1/2" H x 26 1/2" W x 14 1/4" D, Irish or English, late 18th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Ann H. Wells, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall fair to good condition. Wear and condition commensurate with age and use including shrinkage cracks, minor separation to joints, veneer repairs to top, minor veneer loss, scattered nicks and dents to timber, various scratches including the top.
