Tiffany & Company platinum and 18K yellow gold diamond and sapphire bow brooch, featuring a finely crafted bow motif measuring approximately 60 mm in length. The brooch is set with thirty-six (36) transitional old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.37 carats, graded approximately F–G color and VS clarity. Accented by fifteen (15) channel-set baguette step cut sapphires, providing refined contrast and definition. The piece is signed “Tiffany & Co.” on the 18K yellow gold stem and stamped “IRID PLAT.” The bow XRF tests platinum, and the pin XRF tests 18K. Total weight 7.4 grams. PROVENANCE: Private West Tennessee Collection, by descent from Patricia Saunders, wife of Clarence Saunders, a Memphis grocery entrepreneur who opened the world’s first supermarket, Piggly Wiggly.
