An English diminutive kneehole desk with with bureau à gradin style gallery top with drawers and faux book edge hidden doors, secret drawers, over an inset tooled leather writing surface, over a central drawer with three drawer pedestals on each side, sitting on four carved wood cabriole legs, finished with walnut burl veneers over oak secondary timber. Queen Anne style drop brass hardware and keyhole escutcheons. Dimensions: 36" H x 36" W x 22 1/2" D. Late 19th century.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Wear & condition commensurate with age and use including crazing, surface scratches, repairs to wood, shrinkage cracks, chips to veneer, minor losses, moisture rings and dents.
