German Meissen polychrome and parcel gilt figural depicting a trio of putti dressed in colored togas and laurel wreath crowns holding or playing a flute, harp, or trumpet. Books, a violin, and a music score atop a classically styled stand are in front of the figures, all standing on naturalistic rocks with base having fluted and acanthus patterns. Blue Meissen underglaze mark to base along with parcel gilt 51. 8 3/4" H x 7 5/8" W x 4 1/4" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with scattered losses to finger tip of one putto, end of flute, violin bridge, and leaf tip on one laurel wreath crown.
