French sewing box on stand, the hinged lid inset with oil painting depicting a scenic country landscape, under glass; mounted with gilt bronze trim, over a rectangular veneered body with canted corners, base with cabriole legs with applied gilt bronze mounts. Lock plated signed "L. Grade / F ant / Rue / Castic (?)/ No. 9". 23" H x 24.5" W x 19.5". Late 19th/early 20th century.
CONDITION: Good overall condition, light surface scratches, even sun fading to finish, minor separation at joints, crack to interior bottom panel.
