Chinese Qing Dynasty red lacquer and gilt throne chair, the back panels and seat with paint and gilt landscape scenes including pavilions and trees, all bordered with paint and gilt foliate designs, above a short waist and shaped apron with matching foliate decoration, all raised on cabriole legs joined by a stretcher. 41" H x 39 1/4" W x 27 1/4" D. Provenance: the estate of Christine Rehnke, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Overall very good condition with scattered general wear. Some scattered paint and wood wear to arms, edge of seat and top of seat.
