1st item: Japanese Tansu cabinet with a black lacquer case, consisting of a flat top above two hand-painted sliding doors (one signed) above one row of three drawers and one long wood drawer all light wood with brass bail handles, brass fittings throughout. 27 1/4" H x 26" W X 15" D. 2nd item: Japanese hardwood small Campaign or Tansu cabinet consisting of a flat top above two full-length drawers, above two rows of double drawers and one full drawer, all with iron bail pulls, iron fittings throughout. The underside of one small drawer signed. 29" H x 24" W x 13" D. Both 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Susan and David Eagleton, Maryville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition, scattered wear and minor losses to black lacquer, expected use wear. 2nd item: Overall good condition with overall general use wear, oxidation to iron fittings and handles.
