Large French Louis XVI style bronze mounted porcelain jardiniere, possibly Old Paris, deep oval porcelain bowl having a white ground with hand painted birds, butterflies, and flower decoration to the body and pink rim with gilt trim. Neoclassical style gilt bronze footed base stamped MOURLOT 43. 12 1/8" H x 17 5/8" W x 12" D. French, mid to late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Minor spots of oxidation to bronze. Some wear to pink paint at foot ring. Museum accession numbers to the underside of the jardiniere.
