Large Tim Lewis (Kentucky, b. 1952) folk art carved sandstone sculpture depicting a form similar to The Bird Girl from the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. Signed T 05 Lewis, on back. 33 1/4" H x 24 1/2" W x 6" D. 100 lbs plus. Note: the original "Bird Girl" sculpture is pictured on the cover of the book MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Minor grime to bowls. 3/4" L gouge to lower right dress area, possibly in the making.
