3 pieces of 19th century English Staffordshire. 1st item: Rare marked E.J. Birch & Co. Staffordshire basalt teapot with "mourning widow" finial and braided straw handle, with mask design at handle terminus and classical relief figural designs encircling the sides. English, circa 1805. 7"H x 7" diameter. 2nd item: Rare blue ground lustreware teapot, decorated with silver luster leaf and branch decoration with naturalistic handle and spout. Sometimes called Starch Blue Lusterware. 5"H x 8"L x 4-1/2" W. English, probably Staffordshire, mid-19th century. 3rd item: Staffordshire three-color scenic platter, 8-sided oblong shape with blue and white central decoration of a pastoral scene, and a floral border highlighted with red accents. Marked on back "British Cobalt Blue". Old metal plate hanger attached. 13" x 17". Condition: 1st item: Chip to spout. 2nd item: some chipping to underside of foot, light crazing and wear to silver luster. 3rd item: overall very good condition with some minute edge flakes, scattered very light crazing and a couple of very small light stains, price sticker residue; plate hanger is affixed to back.
