A scrolled Continental, likely Italian, giltwood carved rocaile frame featuring a pierced carved shell crest and trailing and scrolled shell decoration to the sides and base, inset with mirrored glass. Old Spanish label en verso. 44" H x 24" W x 4" D. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, mirror with minor silvering losses, two shrinkage cracks to frame, one upper and one left side.
