Chinese Export Rose Medallion vase, bottle form with scalloped rim and upper shoulder, foo dog handles and applied twin dragons or chilongs to either side of shoulder. Decorated with polychrome enamel vignettes of court and landscape scenes, with precious object, birds, butterflies, and flowers, with gilt highlights throughout. Vase is mounted on a carved hardwood stand with an attachment that allows its use as a lamp. Vase measures approx. 13" H. 14 1/2" total H. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of David Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Vase in overall very good condition with light expected wear to decoration. Vase is glued to wood stand and no attempt has been made to remove the stand. Lot includes a separate attachment that allows for use as a lamp.
