Grouping of four (4) Chinese Rose medallion porcelain items. 1st & 2nd items: Pair of tall covered urns, each with polychrome enamel vignettes of court and landscape scenes, with birds, butterflies, and flowers, and gilt highlights throughout, foo dog mask handles and foo dog finials to the lids. Both mounted onto hardwood stands. Vases measure 11" H. 12 1/4" overall H. 19th century. 3rd & 4th items: Pair of lozenge shaped dishes with polychrome enamel vignettes of court and landscape scenes, with birds, butterflies, and flowers, and gilt highlights throughout. 9 1/2" H x 10 5/8" W. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of David Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st & 2nd items: Both mounted with putty onto hardwood stands. No attempt has been made to remove putty. One jar lid with old repair. One vase with hairline to rim. Both with fleabites and/or glaze pops to base edges. 3rd & 4th items: Both overall very good condition with light general wear to decoration and gilding.
