Japanese Meiji period Satsuma style large relief-molded earthenware jar, marks for workshop of Miyagawa (Makuzu) Kozan (1842-1916). Thickly potted, cream ground body with enameled decoration including high relief figural, landscape, animal, bird and floral decoration with animal mask handles on a paneled body. Two (2) black character marks to the base. 17 3/4" H. Early 20th century. Provenance: Greenville, Delaware collection. CONDITION: Some breaks to tips of leaves on panel with female figure, losses to upper left of same panel.
