Grouping of two Northwest Indian baskets, Tlinglet and Karok/Hupa. 1st item – Karok or Hupa basket in a hat form with red and black dyed geometric designs including star. 6 1/2" diameter, 4" height. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item – Tlinglet basket with double rows of red and yellow Greek key designs. 6 1/4" diameter, 4 3/4" height. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: Descendants of the estate of Madge Hardin Walters, early 20th century collector and dealer of Native American and author of Early Days and Indian Ways, Westernlore Press, 1956. Condition: 1st item – Overall excellent condition with fray thread at end of rim edge. 2nd item – square notch loss to rim.
