Carl Sublett (Tennessee, 1919-2008) Watercolor winter waterscape with snowy tree bank and hill in background. Signed lower right, "77 Sublett". 22" H x 29-3/4" W sight. 30-1/4" H x 37-3/4" H framed. Oak frame with linen matte. 1977. Carl Sublett studied Art History at the American Academy in Florence, Italy after World War II, and became Professor of Fine Art at the University of Tennessee. Sublett was a member of the National Academy of Design. His works are in the collections of the National Academy of Design, The Tennessee State Museum, and Cheekwood Museum of Art, Nashville. Condition: Excellent condition. Image has slipped in frame.
