Chinese enamel sweetmeat set in lacquer case, comprised of 9 enamel on brass fitted pieces that form to shape a flower, all with Famille Rose figural landscape decoration. Housed in an octagonal lacquer case with gilt foliate and bird decoration. Signed in gilt with two red seals. 16" H x 16 1/2" W. 19th century. 10 total pieces. 11th-17th items: Seven (7) piece Japanese red lacquer and gilt goblet and tray set comprised of six (6) goblets and one (1) rectangular serving tray. Goblets – 6" H. Tray – 8 1/4" H x 12" W. 20th century. 18th & 19th items: Set of two (2) Japanese black and gilt lacquer pedestals. 3 3/4" H. 20th century. Provenance: The estate of Christine Rehnke, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Sweetmeat set in overall very good condition. Case with overall wear and losses. Overall cracquelure and lifting to lacquer. One side of lid missing. 11th – 19th items: All but two pieces overall good condition with general wear. Tray with some damage to interior. One pedestal stem with old break repair.
