American School oil on canvas landscape painting attributed to Dolores E. Sekel. Depicting a sloping ridge with a line of evergreen trees to the left in the foreground, a dense forest in the midground, and snow-laden mountains under a cloudy sky in the background. Unsigned. Printed museum label, en verso. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with foliate and bellflower decoration and cabochon flourish corners. Sight: 19 3/8" H x 23 3/8" W. Framed: 25 1/2" H x 29 1/2" W. Second half of 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Frame with losses to gilt, largest measuring 1/8" H x 12 1/4" W.
