Group of Japanese Imari porcelain, 5 pieces marked on base, including 1 centerpiece bowl with scalloped rim, 13" diameter; 1 octagonal lobed bowl with sailing vessels in center, marked on base, 9 3/4" dia.; 1 serving bowl with floral decoration, marked on base, 7 1/4" dia,; 1 plate with garden scene, marked on base, 8 1/2" dia.; 1 shallow dish with scalloped rim and female figures, 8 3/8" dia.; 3 various saucers, 2 with maker's marks, 5 1/4" – 6" dia. Late 19th -early 20th century. Provenance: From the collection of Edward S. Thompson, formerly of Columbus, Ohio and Maryville, TN, deceased 1979, by descent to present owner. CONDITION: Scattered loss to gilt on most items. Centerpiece bowl and octagonal bowl in very good condition. 3/16" x 1/8"chip on one saucer.. 3/16" flake to other small saucer.
