Homer Green (Tennessee, 1910-2002) outsider/folk art painting on found board depicting a bright yellow horse or mule against a red background. Green uses a section of the unpainted board to serve as a fence rail. Initialed upper right in yellow HPG. Applied natural wood frame. Sight: 24 1/2" H x 44 5/8" W. Frame: 29" H x 44 3/4" W.
PROVENANCE: Property of The Arts Center of Cannon County, Woodbury, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Some natural vertical shrinkage to board and cracklure to yellow paint.
