English Sheffield sterling tea service, 1947, 6 pieces total including a teapot, coffeepot, covered sugar, creamer, waste bowl and kettle on stand with warmer. Half-lobed bodies with gadrooned rims, ebonized wooden handles and finials to teapot, coffeepot and kettle. Maker's hallmarks "EV" for Emile Viners, Sheffield town mark, sterling standard and date mark on sides with retailer marks on bases for William Adams, additionally marked "Made in England and Sterling Silver". Size ranges from 2 3/4"H x 6"W x 3 1/8"D to 12 1/2"H x 9 1/4"W x 4 3/4"D. 125.86 total oz troy. Provenance: Estate of Bill Zarnon, Gatlinburg, Tenn.
