Large Chinese polychrome decorated temple or guardian dog roof finial similar to a sancai glaze. Depicted with its right foot on a ball, a white dogwood blossom to the body and blue ribbon, all atop a plinth. 28 1/2" H x 24" W x 9 1/2" D. Chinese, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with some losses to tip of tail.
