Pair of two (2) large Chinese ceramic temple lions or foo dog roof tiles, possibly finials, polychrome decoration resembling a Sancai or three-color glaze with green, blue, and amber on a light brown ground. 16 1/2" H x 14" W x 6 1/2" D. Qing Dynasty, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Both items in overall good condition with scattered firing flaws. One with repaired break to left ear, one with repaired breaks to both ears.
