Japanese six panel painted screen or divider, Meiji School. Painted in the Chinese manner depicting young boys playing in an outdoor setting with building in the background and a large pine tree to the right, all within a red silk border. Red artist's stamp lower right. Back of screen covered with patterned paper. 56 1/4" H x 128" (fully extended).
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Susan and David Eagleton, Maryville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall toning to front of screen with some minor grime and a few areas with abrasions. One hole to front of 2nd panel, approximately 1/2" dia. A few scattered puntures to paper on back of screen.
