19th century Chinese archaic style bronze vase, mei ping form with raised decoration of birds at shoulder over tapering sides with geometric designs, mask and ring handles. Unsigned, 12" H. Retains old sales card from The Srednick Collection, attributing it to the Tung Chih or Tongzhi period 1862-1874. Provenance: Private Brentwood, TN collection, acquired from The Srednick Collection, Los Angeles, circa 1970s. CONDITION: Considerable oxidation and possible heat damage to lower edge.
