Plains Indian hide quiver including 3 bows, and 5 arrows. 1st item – Plains Indian hide quiver with leather fringe, dark beans/seeds threaded through some of the leather fringe. Remnants of blue and red paint on fringe edge. 25" length. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item – Three wooden bows, one with remnants of black paint. Length varying 31" to 34". Late 19th/Early 20th century. 3rd item – Five (5) arrows including 2 yellow painted arrows with metal tips, one yellow painted arrow with flint tip, another yellow painted arrow missing flint tip, and a wooden practice arrow. Arrows average 17 1/4" length. Practice arrow 22" length. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: Descendants of the estate of Madge Hardin Walters, early 20th century collector and dealer of Native American and author of Early Days and Indian Ways, Westernlore Press, 1956. Condition: 1st item – wear to painted fringe, soling and staining to hide quiver. 2nd item – string missing on one bow, one bow with broken string. 3rd item – arrows missing feathers, one flint tip missing to one arrow.
