Antique Persian Fereghan Sarouk area rug, 58" x 43", cotton and wool, center blue medallion, ivory primary field, russet secondary field, floral sprays and spandrels, secondary colors of blues, pinks, yellow, green and lavender. First quarter 20th century. Provenance: the collection of Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Slaymaker, Nashville, Tennessee. Purchased at Heart of Country Antiques Show, Nashville, TN in 1985. CONDITION: Generally low pile and some corduroy effect. One end border reduced. One small area old insect damage, 1/2" x 1/4". Surface grime. Some abrash in blue.
