French Louis XV style marble and gilt bronze inlaid commode. Consisting of a breche d'alep marble top over a bombe bank of two drawers inlaid with bouquet of flowers tied by a ribbon and two birds resting on vines opposing each other. Sides with similar floral bouquet inlays, serpentine apron and top of stiles with rococo gilt bronze mounts, the cabriole legs ending in acanthus leaf gilt bronze mounts, gilt bronze rococo escutcheons. Retains key. The underside of each drawer incised "J. Haut". 34 1/2" H x 29" W x 16" D. Late 19th century. Provenance: Estate of Bill Zarnon, Gatlinburg, Tenn.
