Kuba Konagkend, East Caucasian, with distinctive knotted fringe, 52" x 40-3/4" plus 2-1/2" L knot fringe at each end, dark blue primary field and cream primary border, all with geometric designs. Secondary colors of beige, rust, yellow, taupe, salmon and black. Late 19th/early 20th c. Provenance: the collection of Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Slaymaker, Nashville, Tennessee. Purchased from Ran Harris Oriental Rug Co., Nashville, TN in 1985. CONDITION: Overall good even pile. Some abrash. Few losses to knots in fringe.
