John and Peter Targee (working New York, c. 1811) coin silver coffee pot on warming stand, rectangular with lobed belly tapering to a spreading, rectangular foot with stepped base; short, decorative pierced shaft with squares and half-moon cut-outs for ventilation; squared C handle; bands of floral guilloche decoration at finial, upper rim and foot. Marked I & PT in rectangle with pseudohallmarks. Rectangular base with rounded corners has stepped sides adorned with band of floral guilloche, supported on four scrolled feet. Pot 12-1/2"H x 11"W (including handle) x 5"D; base 2-1/2"H. Provenance: Private Arkansas Collection. Condition: Very good condition, with remnants of former museum accession numbers.
