Six (6) brass candlesticks plus snuffers and stand, 8 items total. 1st-2nd items: Pair of Brass Candlesticks, featuring nozzles with scalloped rims and domed petal form bases, 9 3/4" H. 3rd item: Single brass push- up candlestick (still functional) with round base having notched corners, no nozzle, 7 1/4" H. 4th-5th items: Pair of brass taper sticks with octagonal bases and conforming stems, no nozzles, 6 1/8"H. 6th item: Brass candlestick with octagonal base and round stem, no nozzle. 7th item: Brass snuffers with stand having notched corners, 7" H overall. All likely English, George II period, mid 18th century. Provenance: The estate of Dr. Benjamin H. Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: 1st-2nd items: Interior of one nozzle has small spot of possible damage/repair. Scattered small dents. Overall very good condition. 3rd item: Some minor denting and green wax residue to top lip.Small area of pitting to lower stem (about 1" below button). 4th-5th items: overall good condition with some small dents and wear, particularly to sconce and lip areas; one of the pair has a tiny pit at edge of foot. 6th item – Snuffers: Hinge broken, repair to tip of snuffers. Base to stand is slightly loose.
