Small William and Mary oak style chest on stand with upper case having three horizontal panels and detached top with wooden braces. Lower case with dovetailed drawer over shaped apron resting on barley twist turned legs with plain box stretcher base. 18th century batwing escutcheons. 33 3/4"H x. 25"W x 14"D. 18th century and later elements, English. Provenance: Estate of Bill Zarnon, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Condition: Drawer with replaced pulls, some build up of drawer sides, staining on drawer bottom may indicate additional restoration. Evidence of hinges on underside of top. Lock missing to upper well. Drawer supports appear later, inner blocking of front legs with later block bracing, split to upper drawer front, some patches around case above barley twist turnings, possible association of later period elements.
