Three (3) Asian bronze items, including signed jardiniere. 1st item: Japanese jardiniere, round form, having two open-mouthed foo dog lug handles; uchiwa-shaped vignettes to each side depicting birds upon a flowering branch, signed with seal lower left in one vignette and with character marks in another; atop a foliate incised foot. Stamped with character mark to underside. 7 3/4" H x 11 1/4" W x approx. 11 3/8" D. Meiji Period, late 19th/early 20th century. 2nd item: Elephant form trinket or keepsake chest with subtly lobed body; incised line detailing throughout; and the hinged lid in the form of an adorned elephant head with shortened ears, trunk, and tail having a ring finial with knotted tassels; loop hasp to front, raised upon four feet. Unmarked. 8 1/4" H x approx. 10" W x 6 3/4" D. 19th century. 3rd item: Footed bud vase with faceted body, concave neck, and flared rim. Stamped with character mark to underside. 10 1/2" H x approx. 5 1/2" dia. Japanese, Meiji Period, late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Williamson County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition. 1st item: Scattered minor surface wear, including scratches, and patination. 2nd item: Minor scattered surface wear and minute losses, largest measuring 1/4" x 1/4"; portion of hinge has been repaired/replaced. 3rd item: Light scattered surface scratches and wear.
