English Jacobean furniture including high chair and stool/table. 1st item – Jacobean oak child's high chair with rear flat stiles and teardrop finials, paneled back with carved interlocking "V" design, arms extend to front stiles with mushroom cap rests, turned front legs, base with box stretcher, wooden panel seat, pegged throughout. 33 1/2"H x 16"W x 14"D. 17th or 18th century, English. 2nd item – Small Jacobean oak stool with shaped edge top over square base with bulbous baluster ring turned legs, base with box stretcher. 17 3/4"H. 17th or 18th century, English or Continental. Provenance: Estate of Bill Zarnon, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Condition: 1st item – older refinished surface, several pegs appear to be later replacements, old bruises and abrasions appropriate for age. 2nd item – older refinish, old losses and abrasions to turnings, newer reinforcement blocks on top underside, possible loss of height. Top may be slightly later than the base.
