Three (3) early Continental brass candlesticks. 1st item: 16th century brass candlestick, round deep mid dip pan over a flaring vase, knopped stem and candle cup with vertical extacting holes. 7 1/4″H. 1″ area of pitting to base just under pan, 1/4″ area of pitting to stem. 2nd item: 17th century trumpet form candlestick with tapered and ringed circular base, round mid drip pan, extracting holes to candle socket. 7 1/4″H. Repair and scratching to drip pan where it joins the stem, small loss to foot ring. 3rd item: 17th century trumpet form candlestick with tapered and ringed post, circular mid drip plate and circular foot, 5 1/8″H. 1 1/2″ area of tight cracking and repair to mid drip plate. Provenance: The estate of Dr. Benjamin H. Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: All with general wear and small dents, see individual item descriptions.
