Robert Sturm (American/Cincinnati, 1874-1964) hand wrought hammered sterling silver platter, circular form with a geometric pierced border and stylized, applied HKM monogram. Dated 1925 en verso. 16 in. diameter. 47.34 oz troy. Note: Robert Sturm was a Cincinnati silversmith known for his handmade sterling silver objects in the Arts and Crafts Style. Examples of his work are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cincinnati Art Museum.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Eleanor H. Baer, Memphis, Tennessee (The Eleanor H. Baer Irrevocable Trust).
CONDITION: Overall very good condition; some light scratches to center.
