Ossie Lee Samuels (Georgia, 1931-2017) outsider art carved wood sculpture of a mermaid with arms folded below her nude breasts, having dark ebonized "hair". Initialed at bottom of fin and on base. 16 1/2" H including the 3/4" base.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Ronnie Steine, ex-The Arts Company, Nashville.
CONDITION: A few extraneous paint drips, as made; a couple of small scuffs to hip area, overall very good condition.
