Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver, .36 caliber, serial number 20789, all visible serial numbers matching. Barrel marked "Address Saml Colt New York City", frame under cylinder marked "Colts Patent". Walnut stocks, octagonal barrel, brass trigger guard and back strap, iron mounted, checkered hammer, standard front sight, loading lever. Barrel length – 7 1/2". Overall length – 13 1/2". Serial number corresponds to year 1853. Provenance: the collection of Benjamin Dysart, Brentwood, Tennessee. CONDITION: Action functional. Wedge could be replacement. Dark patina. Stocks with 15% varnish.
