Two French marquetry landscape panels, from the workshop of Paul Louis and Jean Charles Spindler (French 1906-1980/b. 1949), both signed lower right. 1st item: Panel depicting the Strasbourg Cathedral in the background with village in the foreground. French frame label en verso together with a written inscription reading "Strasbourg, 228". Sight – 14 1/2" H x 9" W. Framed – 19 1/2" H x 14" W. 20th century. 2nd item: Small panel mounted as a tray and depicts birds perched upon thatched roofs in the foreground and the Strasbourg Cathedral in the background. Sight – 7" H x 11 1/2" W. Framed – 8 3/4" H x 13" W. 20th century. Condition: 1st item: Overall very good condition. 2nd item: Slight water damage left margin & corner. Wear/loss of patina to wooden frame.
