Colonial Revival Chippendale Style sofa, arched back with flared arms and square tapered bead-molded legs and a three-cushion seat. Needlepoint upholstery in a tapestry design with overall florals and a central vignette of a maiden and sheep. 89" W x 33 1/4" H x 28 3/4" D. Circa 1900. Provenance: Sold by Cheekwood Museum of Art. Condition: Some fading and wear to upholstery, with evidence of some repairs, especially to right arm. Some upholstery damage where back meets the seat, not visible with cushions in place. Some wear and light abrasions to feet.
