Civil War era Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver, .36 caliber, serial number 150317, all visible serial numbers matching. Barrel marked "Address Col. Sam Colt New York U.S. America", frame under cylinder marked "Colts Patent". Walnut stocks, octagonal barrel, brass trigger guard and back strap, iron mounted, checkered hammer, loading lever, standard front sight. Barrel length – 7 1/2". Overall length – 13 1/2". Serial number corresponds to year 1863. Provenance: the collection of Benjamin Dysart, Brentwood, Tennessee. CONDITION: Action is inoperable. Wedge replacement is likely handmade. Hammer screw replaced. No finish on stocks. Even dark patina overall.
