Stanley to his brother in Denbighshire, Wales, dated September 1, 1870. Does not include envelope. 7 1/4" H x 4 1/2" W. 63rd-64th items: Two (2) envelopes engraved with U.S. Monuments in Washington, D.C., including one (1) depicting the Capitol building and one (1) depicting the U.S. Treasury. Approximately 3 1/8" H x 5 5/8" W. Early 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: The collection of Ross Webb, Brentwood, TN. CONDITION: Overall good condition with foxing spots, toning impressions, dampstaining, tears, etc. to be expected from age. Letters not examined for content.
