Civil War era Colt Model 1860 Army revolver, .44 caliber, serial number 101609, all visible serial numbers matching. Barrel marked "Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America", cylinder marked "Colts Patent", "PAT Sept 10th 1850", with U.S. government inspection marks, cylinder pin with matching serial number, left side of frame marked "Colts Patent". Walnut stocks with faint cartouches to either side, round barrel, brass trigger guard and back strap, iron mounted, checkered hammer, standard front sight, loading lever. Barrel length – 8". Overall length – 13 1/2". Serial number corresponds to year 1863. Provenance: the collection of Benjamin Dysart, Brentwood, Tennessee. CONDITION: Action is excellent. Dark even patina overall. Wedge unmarked. Bore is dirty but will clean to good. Screws are clean. Cut for stock.
