Four (4) European Sword and Bayonet. 1st item: French Model 1831 foot artillery short sword with double-edge diamond cross section blade and brass hilt with ringed grip. Engraved "32" and "320 (crossed out)" on either side of cross guard. Blade – 19" L. Overall – 25" L. 2nd item: French Model 1831 foot artillery short sword with double-edge diamond cross section blade and brass hilt with ringed grip. Engraved "92 542 (crossed out)" and "48 650 (over impressed by asterisks)" on either side of cross guard. Illegible script engraving on bottom of blade, either side. Blade – 19" L. Overall – 25" L. 3rd item: French bayonet with single edged blade, metal guard with ring, and brass hilt with ringed grip. Engraved with illegible maker's mark on bottom of blade, "4392" and "IB" with crown maker's mark, either side of guard. Blade – 22 3/4" L. Overall – 27 1/2" L. 4th item: European infantry officer's sword with double-edged blade, brass knuckle-bow hilt, fabric handle with twisted wire bound grip, and a black metal scabbard. Blade – 28 1/4" L. Overall – 33 3/4" L. Mid to late 19th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Blade has been lacquered. Surface abrasions. 2nd item: Blade has been lacquered. Surface abrasions. 3rd item: Tarnish on blade, guard, and hilt. 4th item: Tarnish on blade and hilt. Rust on scabbard. Fabric on grip worn, missing.
