Fifteen (15) Asian porcelain items. 1st item: Large Chinese Blanc de Chine sculpture depicting the goddess Quan Yin or Guanyin holding lotus blossoms in the left hand and standing atop a relief lotus petal and relief wave and foliate base. Two impressed marks back base edge, one with chop marks and "China" and the other marks partially obscured. Sculpture is mounted onto a shaped gilt bronze lamp base, not wired. Sculpture: 18 1/8" H. 21" total H. 20th century. 2nd-15th items: Fourteen (14) assembled Asian porcelain items including four (4) Rose Medallion plates, two (2) Rose Medallion teacups with saucers stamped CHINA, one (1) Rose Medallion saucer stamped CHINA, Chinese celadon ground shaped bowl with blue and white landscape decorated center, Japanese Kutani "1000 Scholars" teacup and saucer with shaped rims, Japanese Meiji Kutani small dish with dragon decoration to the center and mark to base, and a Japanese Kutani footed bowl with shaped rim and flowering branch decoration, blue mark on the base. Plates range in size from 4 1/8" dia. to 9 1/4" dia. Bowls and cups range in size from 2 1/8" H x 4 5/8" dia. to 2 1/2" H x 5" dia. Rose Medallion plates Late 19th century. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carolyn Mulder, Knoxville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with light general expected wear. 1st item: Sculpture is mounted onto a bronze base but has not been fitted with electrical wiring. Break to one flower on the base. 2nd-15th items: Kutani bowl with hairline emanating from rim, approx. 1". One teacup with fleabite to rim.
