1st grouping: Two (2) Mississippian greyware cooking jars. 1st item – Mississippian strap handled cooking jar with a third, flat handle formed from the rim. 6" height x 7" width. 2nd item – Mississippian greyware cooking pot with small flared handles formed from the rim. 7 1/2" height x 9 1/2" width. 2nd grouping: Southwestern or Mexican redware tripod bowl and water jar. 1st item – Southwestern/Mexican redware bowl with tripod lobed feet with stretchers ioining each lobe at the base. 6 1/4" height. 2nd item – Small Southwestern/Mexican redware water jar. 3 3/4" height. Property of an East Tennessee Educational Institution. Condition: 1st grouping: Both jars broken and glued. Losses at rim on handled cooking jar. Losses to edges where pieces glued back together. 2nd grouping: 1st item – overall very good condition with expected light wear to outer rim edge. 2nd item – repair to rim area, chip to rim, glue or varnish residue on base.
