2 pieces of antique Gorham sterling silver hollowware. 1st item: rare sterling silver shaving mug or moustache cup with beaded rim and removable pierced ledge. Marked Sterling with old Lion Anchor G mark, A 3449 on bottom. 3"H, 5.92 oz troy. 2nd item: Basket with decorative pierced silver frame, utensil holder, and swing handle, marked on bottom Sterling with old Lion Anchor G mark, A 6499. Removable milk glass insert marked on bottom in raised letters " MacLaren's Imperial Cheese". 5"H including handle, 2.75 oz troy excluding insert. Both American, late 19th or early 20th century. Combined weight: 8.67 oz troy weighable silver. Condition: Item 1: one 1/4" dent to side opposite handle, light scratching, light wear to base. Item 2: milk glass insert lacks lid and is probably not original. Lacking utensil.
