Stanley, containing maps of Africa and numerous engraved illustrations of fish, animals, tools, musical instruments and other items of African material culture. Published London by Sampson, Low, Marston etc. 1887 (6th edition). Tooled leather binding, bookplate and tooled leather name on front for All Saints School Bloxham (Cambridge Syndicate Examination Mid Summer 1889, awarded as prize to W.F. Chandler by The Governing Body). 2nd item: 1820 leatherbound copy of Whitehead's Poem on the Battle of Waterloo, by William Whitehead, published 1820 and printed by Thomas Davison, Whitefriars, for subscribers listed at the end of the book.
